On his quest to automated Meteorite searching, Seamus meets one of the locals!
Seamus is using a drone to survey meteorite fall areas in high resolution. The drone can cover on its own what take humans weeks to search manually.
The images are then analysed with a convolution neural network trained specifically to detect meteorites. With a bit of fine tuning, this will become part of the GFO’s arsenal to track down meteorites.
