Estacion Astronomica Rio Grande (EARG) in Tierra del Fuego, southern Argentina, deployed its first DFNEXT system on the 13th March. Almost immediately, the fireball event detection sent a report, but not of a fireball.
Certainly an interesting phenomenon, it appeared to be sopmehting out of Star Wars! It turned out to be a LIDAR system taking atmospheric measurements. Check out the post written by Jose Luis here.
